It’s such a relief to peel off the layers and let the breeze blow on our legs. So to kick bothers like veins, saggy knees and jiggly thighs to the curb, try these tips to flawless:
A Spider Vein–Erasing Salve
Weakened capillary walls cause blood to pool at the skin’s surface, resulting in pesky purple clusters. Butcher’s broom can help. The plant’s flavonoids strengthen capillaries and its saponins and aesculin shrink them to keep blood from leaking and pooling. To do: Mix 4 drops of butcher’s broom with 1 Tbs. of grapeseed oil and rub onto veins twice a day for results in four weeks.
A Thigh-Firming Pose
“Performing the ‘warrior II’ yoga pose activates and strengthens the adductors, muscles on the inside of thighs, to help legs look leaner from hip to knee,” says celebrity trainer Jonathan Tylicki.
And it’s easy to do: Stand with your legs 4 feet apart, left foot in back, turned out at a 90-degree angle. Bend your right
knee into a lunge, then extend your arms out to the sides. Hold
for 10 breaths, then switch sides. Do 5 sets three times a week for
results in four weeks.
A Knee-Firming Cream
Massage a mix of 3 drops of yucca extract and 1⁄2 Tbs. of
jojoba oil onto knees three times a week.
